5 new jazz vinyl releases just announced for the Fall by John Coltrane, Chet Baker, Charlie Rouse
5 new releases by the likes of John Coltrane, Chet Baker, Charlie Rouse, and Philly Joe Jones. I'm including links below if you want to check them out. Chet Baker: https://newland.ochre.store/format/1715204-five-from-65-the-quintet-summer-sessions Philly Joe Jones: https://realgonemusic.com/products/philly-joe-jones-sextet-blues-for-dracula-vinyl?variant=46513047306378 Charlie Rouse: https://resonancerecords.org/product/the-charlie-rouse-bandcinnamon-flower-the-expanded-edition-vinyl/ A Love Supreme: https://store.ververecords.com/products/john-coltrane-a-love-supreme-monophonic-edition-lp?utm_source=Email&utm_campaign=20250716&utm_medium=email&utm_referrer=direct&utm_board=john-coltrane&utm_country=US&utm_linkurl=JohnColtrane.lnk.to%2FALoveSupremeMono&dm_i=6RXM%2CGG7Y%2C1X91DT%2C2NIEE%2C1 Live at the Vanguard: https://store.ververecords.com/products/john-coltrane-the-complete-1961-village-vanguard-recordings-7lp-boxset?_pos=1&_sid=c17f3e14c&_ss=r ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you're new to my channel, what you can expect from me is a vinyl collector's approach to the jazz genre. For years, I've only collected vintage pressings and prioritized originals of Blue Note, Prestige, Savoy, Bethlehem, Riverside, New Jazz, and more classic labels. Lately, with the resurgence of the medium and more collectors coming to the space, the music industry has taken notice and prioritized putting out high quality reissues of some of the best albums ever recorded. Subscribe to my channel to watch me navigate how to rationalize how I used to buy vs. how I buy vinyl records today. #jazzcollector #jazzcollection #vinylcollector #vinylcollection #jazzmusic #jazzhistory #vinylcommunity #vinylcollection @resonancerecords #resonancerecords #chetbaker #johncoltrane #charlierouse @newlandrecordsofficial @VerveRecords

The footage captures Monk in his prime. His quartet features the classic lineup of Charlie Rouse on tenor saxophone, Larry Gales on Bass and Ben Riley on Drums. They play three songs, beginning with an 18-minute version of “Lulu’s Back in Town,” from the 1964 album It’s Monk’s Time. Each musician has room to solo as Monk gets up from his piano and does his stiff, idiosyncratic dance. Next, Monk plays a solo version of the standard, “Don’t Blame Me,” by Jimmy McHugh and Dorothy Fields. The full quartet returns for Monk’s signature show-closer, “Epistrophy.” The Copenhagen set, along with another one recorded two days earlier in Norway, is available on DVD as part of the Jazz Icons series. What is The Rouse Legacy?
This video is a direct explanation of the life-time purpose of The Rouse Legacy; an institution devoted to the world of jazz and chronicling the contributions that Charles Rouse Sr. (America's Hard-bop Saxophonist) and Charles "Chico" Rouse Jr. (Drummer Extraordinaire and Music Educator) have made and continue to make to the world of jazz.
