The Rouse Legacy Group, LLC, founded by Charles “Chico” Rouse Jr., is a platform dedicated to preserving, promoting, and educating the public on the musical heritage of his Family. The group offers resources such as rare recordings, interviews, and live performances, with a mission to bridge the gap between jazz history and new generations.

Rouskin Media is a new addition to The Rouse Legacy, functioning as a “creative hub” for all content-related initiatives. It focuses on sharing engaging stories, graphics, and information about the Important role the family has in Jazz history. And the current work of Chico Rouse. A major focus of Rouskin Media is the “Bebop 2 Hip Hop” series, a multimedia educational workshop designed to connect the roots of historical jazz with modern hip-hop culture.

• Preserving Jazz Heritage: He aims to keep the music and legacy of his family —and the “golden era” of jazz history, archives—alive, bringing 60+ years of industry experience to his role as a “steward” of this history.

• Bridging Generations: Through “Bebop 2 Hip Hop” and other workshops, he connects young artists and audiences with the foundational elements of American music, illustrating how jazz influences modern art forms.

• Educational Outreach: He provides in-depth, firsthand accounts of the jazz world to colleges, community programs, and institutions around the world, offering an authentic, “front-row seat” perspective on legends.

Chico Rouse acts as an “ambassador of jazz history,” using his firsthand upbringing surrounded by some of the Greatest jazz musicians in America’s history to ensure the music continues to be respected, performed, and understood around the world!
